How does Sanebox work?
SaneBox uses algorithms to determine the importance of each email in your inbox. It works by creating a folder called “SaneLater”. All emails that are deemed unimportant will be filtered into this folder, ready to view later. Besides the ‘SaneLater’ folder, SaneBox can also create folders for newsletters and bulk mail. If you discover an email ended up in the wrong folder, you can drag it to the right one. SaneBox will remember this for the next time.

- Your emails never leave your server — SaneBox only analyses headers to see what’s important, it does not take possession of your mail.
- Safe credentials — Although SaneBox needs access to your email, via your password, all of your credentials are encrypted and placed on an unreachable server from the public internet.
- Data privacy — SaneBox algorithms analyse your email behaviour; it does not look at the content of emails.
- Network security — SaneBox mail processing servers will not accept connections from the public internet. All network access is provided through encrypted VPN tunnels. All-access is logged and audited.
- Auditing — SaneBox uses an accredited auditing service. SaneBox requires all data centres to maintain ISO accreditation and operate at high standards. This means ID checks, 24/7 security on-site, as well as access approval and recording at the perimeter.
