New additions to the Website Builder contact form
Contact forms are almost an essential feature of a website, allowing your website visitors to easily reach you. It also provides numerous opportunities for you as the website owner – think about generating leads, providing customer service, and starting a conversation with potential customers. Because we understand the importance of such a feature, we have enhanced the contact form in Website Builder with some exciting new additions.
Build your personal contact form
We have improved the way in which you set up your contact form. You can intuitively drag and drop fields to build the list of information you wish to receive from requesters. As always, you can make changes to specific fields. It is possible to modify the text, define whether the field is required and customise error messages.
Protect yourself from spam
Another addition is the invisible captcha. This feature protects your contact form from spam bots and false enquiries. The invisible captcha tracks your visitor’s mouse movements when filling out the form to determine if the request is filled in by a human. In this way, your visitors do not need to click on images or type a set of characters to resolve the captcha. Of course, this feature is fully GDPR compliant.
The captcha feature is automatically enabled for all newly added contact forms. For existing contact forms, you can enable captcha in the form settings. Just republish your form to activate the new settings.
Collect more info with attachments
Perhaps you have a construction business, and you would like to get enquiries from people looking to start a project with you. Or you are a photographer and someone is reaching out with inspiration photos for a photoshoot. In these cases, giving your visitors the option to attach files to their enquiry saves a lot of time. This is now possible by simply editing the fields of your contact form. Here you can add the option to upload a file.
Collect entries and contact details
Soon we will also give you the option to collect contacts from contact form submissions, and store them as a “Lead” in our Contacts tool. If you are an Online Shop user, you already have access to this tool, and you are already collecting “Customer” contacts from your Online Shop orders.
Do you have any wishes for the contact form? Please reach out via our feedback button in the Website Builder dashboard. We love to hear your ideas.
